@tristin183 There's no need for an apology I'm glad to have helped. Perhaps to sum up it is better to use good three, four or five string chords than to attempt chords which are nigh on impossible for a beginner to make. The more difficult variations can wait until later.

@DelTangBrav okay. well I'd like to say sorry for the wrong info. i just haven't seen ways around that chord
DelTangBrav (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@tristin183 That is incorrect there are ways around those chords, I have just replied with a much easier method for the F chord. I would never expect any 12 year old to be able to play 6 string barres. Even some adults with strong and large fingers find them difficult. The B chord is rarely used by beginners.

@Jennah9 I'm not surprised you are having trouble, 6 string barre chords are not for beginners. The only notes required to make the chord of F are F A C which is much more easily achieved by first and second string being stopped at the first fret (with first finger) Making F&C - third string at the second fret (using second finger) making A Fourth string at the 3rd fret making another F then fifth string (already A) left open. Don't play the 6th string.

@OtakuGatsu90 It is not a C9 chord (there is no Bflat ) - it is actually a C chord with an added 9th. The 7th (Bflat) has to also be used in a 9th chord. He just describes it as an alternative C chord which is incorrect. Actual notation of a C9 is G/D/Bflat/E/C. One chord it definitely isn't is a beginners chord :-)

@DelTangBrav yes it is... it's C9. But you'r right on the position, he's wrong.
